WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LOSE VOICE AND DATA SERVICES

AKA:  FRONTIER OUTAGE IN REDMOND WA

What would the impact of not having Internet and phone service at your business for a few hours?  What if you were down for almost a whole week?  Would your bottom line suffer?  Do you think that it doesn’t happen or won’t happen?

I can answer those questions for you.  It would be tremendous disruption to your business.   Your bottom line would be impacted greatly.  Think about people calling you and not getting through, e-mails going unanswered, would you use a company that didn’t respond to your communications, I would bet not.  Think of the lost revenue and opportunities that were missed, and not because it was your fault, or was it.  If you never thought that having back up services were of value, think again.

To answer my last question, it does happen and it happened recently in Redmond on September 20th, 2014.  Here is a link to the King 5 story on the Frontier outage in Redmond.  https://www.king5.com/story/news/local/2014/09/25/frontier-communication-phone-outage-fiber-copper-lines/16236603/

Frontier outage

This is an example of why we recommend having redundant services (two carriers).  A real example, we have a client that was affected by the Frontier outage and they lost their phones, credit card machine, and faxing.  They only lost their phones for a few minutes because we had sold them on redundancy, they had another Internet provider in as well as their Frontier services and we were able to get them back up in a few minutes.  While hundreds of businesses didn’t have voice or data services, our client was still able to conduct business as usual.  We did find a couple holes, like the credit card machine and faxing, but we were able to get them up and running as well.

Think of it as a cheap insurance policy.  We have crafted this redundant solution for the majority of our clients, and time and time again it has saved them from being down and losing revenue.  Let our experience be of value to you and your business.  When we recommend redundancy, it is not to make more money; it is to provide your company with value and to save you money.  Also, to give you a peace of mind and help you sleep at night.
