MY FIRST YEAR IN TELECOM

Time flies when you are having fun or learning something new.  I have just had my first year in Telecom and what a learning experience.  I definitely learn something new every day.   There is so much to consume that it is mind blowing.  Who would have thought that making phone calls or accessing the Internet would be so complex?

I surely didn’t and I now know why carriers have new reps every 6 months or so now.  Vince told me when I started that the carriers have a revolving door because as a new rep comes on board, another is leaving.  I have found that in this crazy industry that most carrier reps are selling widgets that only their company sells, not really selling solutions that make sense for the client.  We have been called in many times to fix things for regular carrier reps that have sold something that won’t work with the client’s phone system or network.

I am grateful for my opportunity to learn from Vince, he is one of the most knowledgeable humans around the Pacific Northwest about Telecom and Voip.  You know you work with a respected individual when carriers call him to ask him for advice and or help.

Since we don’t work for only one carrier, we are able to craft solutions that make sense for the clients and their needs.  We don’t have just 10 products to sell and have to try to fit a square peg in a round hole.  We can actually listen to what our clients need and then go out and find the right fit.  The real benefit to the customer is after the sale, we are the ones that you engage should there be problems with service or billing.

We are not looking to just make a sale; we are looking to build a relationship with our clients so they have someone they can trust.  Because Telecom is so confusing, we hope to be like your trusted auto mechanic, you don’t know what is wrong with your car, but you trust that your mechanic is going to fix the problem and not gouge you.  I know I have a mechanic I can trust and you should have a Telecom person you trust.
