- Use of a basic monitoring tool (like Spiceworks & SBS Monitoring) to check up
on workstations
- By proactively monitoring systems and solving / suggesting solutions to
problems as they start to show up rather than waiting for a “system down” is
much less costly for both us and the client. While monthly cost may be
somewhat higher (if at all) the annual costs should / will be lower.
- This PM Plan also makes for easier budgeting as it is a fixed cost monthly with
occasional on-site or additional support expenses, rather than having large
expenses at the time of down workstations and / or servers.
- Using budget for PM rather than break-fix is a better use of customers $’s since
this will reduce the overall downtime of systems and keep paid staff working.
