NP Information Systems offers a service wherein we scan all your incoming e-mail before it is delivered to your system and remove any viruses that are found.  What are the advantages of having us scan your mail?  There are several:

• Security:  The primary benefit is better security against viruses reaching your system via e-mail.  If your company already has anti-virus protection, this benefit holds less value; however we could take over this role for your server freeing it up for other tasks (see the next benefit).
• Reduced Servers Loads:  When e-mail comes into your organization the anti-virus software must scan it for viruses.  If this initial scan of the e-mail is moved off of your server the result is reduced load on your server, freeing up CPU cycles for other tasks.
• POP3 Clients:  Many clients do not have an in-house mail server and elect to have their ISP house their e-mail.  If your ISP does not offer anti-virus scanning this would be a great service for you.
